From the silver coated, plastic Eiffel Tower and the synthetic alabaster Venus de Milo, to the hand of remaining gorillas of Africa and skalp rivals in North America, souvenirs are associated with monsters of all kinds both physical and aesthetic. Grotesque art souvenirs in tourist shops stacked on shelves, become the claim of tourists and travelers as a part of their private collection, of questionable aesthetics. The underdeveloped photograph in front of the tourist monument is the most common of souvenirs to state "I was here." The image of one in surfer shorts and the Colossus of Rhodes in the background found in a personal photo album, carries the same weight as a sergeant in front of humiliated Iraqi prison in Baghdad. 13 photographers with different visual backgrounds present their own souvenirs balancing between humor and seriousness.
