"When the phrase", a visual sentence explored by Ioanna Myrka through video, a series of sketches, interactive works on a computer, an installation, painting, performance, dealing with the issue of language, literacy and education. She commens on the diversity of communication by creating a new writing code through symbols instead of words. She paints Japanese haiku poems from the book of Senriou Haiku, Kastaniotis publications, and Haiku, The Eye publications.
The performance uses elements from the play by Peter Chantke "Caspar", challenging social conventions, criticizing issues such as "right" and "wrong" and questioning whether the world would be different without these social determinations. The actor / director Nick Tsergas, plays the role of Caspar, a man restricted to a basement for years, and who begins his learning process of at a mature age.
