Visual arts programme at TAF

As part of the Athens Fringe Festival 2010, TAF (the Art Foundation), from June 16th-20th, presents 'Organoid', an audiovisual project by x8 and simultaneously video, photography and installation projects by the artists:

x8: Organoid

organoid /or·ga·noid/ (or´gah-noid) 1. resembling an organ. 2. a structure that resembles an organ.

The project focuses on the reconstruction of space by means of a multimedia installation consisting of multichannel audio synchronised with multiple projections.

‘Organoid’ explores space perceived as a living organism, a biological entity, a place of social collectiveness, or even an addition of comprising functions. Through the use of audiovisual media, this installation aims to reconstruct, modulate and creatively transform memories, experiences, and social awareness that space is bearing.

This is the first presentation of the x8 group, which is mainly comprised of the ASFA ‘Digital Arts’ postgraduate course participants.

The project will be presented:
Wednesday – Friday 16:00-17:00 and 20:00-21:00, Saturday – Sunday 16:00-1700.
